What Is #SocialSurfing: Looking at the growing use of online spaces in India, Centre for Social Research and Facebook came together and initiated this programme. #SocialSurfing intends to initiate the dialogue on how the user can have a positive online experience by maximizing the use of social media platforms.

Programme Goal: Creating a culture of positive gender sensitive online environment, by promoting use of counter speech, through sensitive campaigns and listing user-driven best practices.

#SocialSurfing intends to engage with a diverse group of internet users and build their capacities for a positive and gender sensitive online experience. With these workshops, we also aim at initiating a dialogue on Counter speech, for the very first time in India. #SocialSurfing is a pure educational program.
